6 fresh figs
1/2 cup fresh whole ricotta
pinch of black pepper
1/4 cup pine nuts, lightly toasted
2-3 tablespoons of honey
Directions:
Cut an X on the top of each fig with a sharp knife. Using your finger tips split open each fig down the middle without opening it all the way through.
Fill the center of each fig with a generous spoonful of ricotta and a pinch of black pepper. Transfer to a serving plate, add the warm pine nuts, and drizzle the figs with honey.
There is no simpler and fresher recipe for fresh figs other than eating them right off the tree. This dish can be served as an appetizer, snack or even as a dessert. Buonissimo!
