Croatian cuisine is influenced by diverse traditions of nations that ruled the country throughout history, as well as neighboring countries. It has similarities to Austrian, Italian, Turkish, and Hungarian food. Because of this, Croatian food covers both vegetables and meat from the mountain and seafood from the coast. Menu: Grilled eggplant with Marinated Feta, Cevapcici (3 meats Sausages), and BLITVA (Potatoes and Swiss Chard). Class is hands-on, cook in your own kitchen. Istanbul is the largest city and principal seaport of Turkey. It was the capital of both the Byzantine Empire and the Ottoman Empire. It is the heritage of Ottoman Cuisine which can be described as a fusion and refinement of Mediterranean, Balkan, Middle Eastern, Central Asian, and Eastern European Cuisine. Join Chef Alba as we created delicious Halloumi Fries with Honey and Sesame, Turkish Lamb/beef Asiago Meatballs, and Patates Salatasi. Class is part hands-on, part demo.

These pasta dishes are suitable for special occasions or for a Sunday lunch or dinner. They are comforting, delicious, and easy to prepare. These recipes are unique because they will only be found in a small trattoria or in a family home that has been cooking it for generations. The dishes are so full of flavor that they will be a sure hit to bring to the table. Menu: Cannelloni in Bianco Verdure e Gorgonzola, Spaghetti alla Corte d’Assisi, and Pasta Adagio di Cipolle. Parmigiano-Reggiano is a hard, dry cheese made from skimmed or partially skimmed cow's milk. It has a hard pale-golden rind and a straw-colored interior with a rich, sharp flavor. Parmigiano-Reggiano is aged at least two years. A recipe is incomplete if it’s not served with a slice or sprinkling of grated cheese.   5. I highly recommend Chef Alba's on-line cooking classes, a learner's dream. By cooking along, if you choose, you see her cook, hear her commentary, get answers to your questions as you cook, and taste the delicious food you have prepared with her guidance. Treat yourself to a class and you will be hooked!

  8. Chef Alba is a fabulous instructor with a great personality. Her on-line virtual classes are well thought out and offer a variety of dishes. Recipes are emailed in advance so you can grocery shop and have food prepped before class enabling you to cook along with Alba. Virtual classes are terrific but when the opportunity comes back to take an actual Chef Alba class in person, sign up immediately. You will not be disappointed!
